Joelle Anderson
Joelle is a creative communicator, community organizer, and an expert waste sorter. She is the founder of Litter2Art, a community organizing group that conducts monthly beach litter pickups and turns what would be waste into art. Her work is featured at local San Diego farmers markets and other fun events throughout Southern California.
Joelle’s message is to “see the possibility” and turn “pain into power”. Something so destructive as pollution can be used to bring community together, spark innovation and inspiration, encourage environmental conservation and invoke healing through art.
Joelle works to bring her trash-art skills to various events, using the trash generated from each event, in live time, to create lasting and thought provoking sculptures promoting environmental sustainability.
